A probabilistic earthquake and tsunami risk assessment was conducted for Tofino and neighboring Tla-o qui-aht First Nation (TFN) communities on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It aims to provide guidance on disaster risk reduction planning at a local scale. The project is funded by the National Disaster Mitigation Program of Canada. The primary objective of the
study is to estimate the hazard and potential loss due to earthquakes and tsunami in the region using a probabilistic analysis framework.
